Description

This one-day workshop is Part 1 of the Developing Educators Stream which builds on concepts covered in the Introduction to University Teaching Module.

It will explore ways in which 21st century students learn and support you in building engaging learning environments through a Universal Design for Learning (UDL) framework. You will have the opportunity to start or review the design of your own active learning activities, whilst embedding a focus on feedback and assessment through constructive alignment of the learning sequences. This workshop will offer you the chance to establish new professional networks and assist you in forming an ADEPT learning community for ongoing peer support and review.

The workshop is open to all NEW academic staff, sessional staff and tutors, and experienced teachers who wish to re-energise their classes. You will be guided through the day by a group of interdisciplinary colleagues and award-winning teachers who will facilitate the day and share their own experiences with you.

Day 1 Facilitators: Ass Prof Sophie Karanicolas and Dr Hayley McGrice
